Map of Moravia (ca. 3MB): About 1/3 of the
road map of the eastern Czech Republic along with small portions of adjacent
Poland, Hungary and Austria. The original 1977 map by Kartografie Praha
© was 1:500 000. The portion presented here is 80% of the original scale, with
an insert of the research area scanned at 200% of the original scale (see also
below). The map is still under construction so some details are missing.
Research area road map
(ca. 1MB): The map covers the area of Sternberk-Vyskov-Prerov, starting just
west of Rmiz across the Morava to Lipnik. Near Lipnik, is Hlinsko, a hill top
site with a "paved road/entrance" and a stone wall. Note that the
Morava River zone flooded in the Spring of 1997, destroying houses far from its
normal course. The mapt is 200% of the original 1977 (1:500 000) map by Kartografie
Praha © (see above).
