The purpose of this text is to provide a general overview of the culture and is intended as a resource for students and teachers of European Archaeology.
Schwieberdingen is located in South Germany’s Neckar River region (Map of Neolithic sites).
Schwieberdingen exists roughly between 4200 cal BC – 4100 cal BC (Chronological Table).
It is preceded by a kind of Bischheim (a late form of Rössen) and followed by Schussenried (Strobel 1998).
Several relatively small enclosures are known.
