q       Comparative Archeology and Paleoclimatology: Sociocultural Responses to a Changing World (Sunday and Monday, June 22 – 23, 9:00 – 11:00, 11:30 – 13:00, and 16:00 – 18:00 hours).

 

q       The Prehistoric Cultural Ecology of the Northern Pacific Rim (Wednesday, June 25, 9:00 – 11:00, 11:30 – 13:00 hours).

 

q       Pre-Industrial Urbanism in Tropical Environments: Magnitude, Organization and Ecological Impact (Thursday, June 26, 9:00 – 11:00, 11:30 – 13:00 hours).

 

 

 


 

 

PRESENTATION REQUIREMENTS, DEADLINES, SESSION STRUCTURE

 

 

  1. December 10, 2002: Email the title plus an abstract of 150-250 words to: CompArchaeologyWEB@columbus.rr.com.

 

  1. December 15: After approval by the Session Organizers, abstracts will be submitted to the WAC Program Chair, Heather Burke (before the WAC deadline).

 

  1. May 1, 2003: Submit a paper of 5,000 words to: CompArchaeologyWEB@columbus.rr.com.[2] (Translation services are available from the WAC.)

 

  1. June 21 – June 26, 2003: A 20 minute presentation and a 10 minute discussion

 

·         Morning sessions: 9 to 11 (2 hours)

 

·         Coffee break: 11 –11:30 (1/2 hour)

 

·         Noon sessions: 11:30 to 1 (1.5 hours)

 

·         Afternoon Sessions: 1.5 hours (4-5:30)
